This is my first blog of book experience.

 

Here we go…

 

This book was written in the same year as I was born and published by Harper Collins. It was one of the trilogy (MAN and BOY, MAN and WIFE, and One for My Baby). Generally it was telling us about how a man, Harry, handle a boy after splitting up with his woman, his wife named Gina. Then being fired from his job and met a woman randomly in a restaurant. She was Cyd. He saw her for a while and found out that she thought they had not the same ideas of being together. Cyd told him, Harry, that he was a romance. He wanted a perfect love which never happened. Later, Harry’s dad was sick. He was suffering from cancer and then he died. His ex-wife was going to be married and took their son to live with her. First, he debated to keep the son, Pat. But then, everything happened made him realized to prioritize the son. He brought him to his ex-wife’s new house.

 

Two favourite quotes of mine:

“The romantic ones are always the worst. The hearts and flowers brigade. The ones who promise never to look at another woman. Always the worst. Because they always need that new fix. That regular shot of romance.”

It was written when Gina left Harry from their house after she found out he slept with another girl the night before.

It makes me realize that we could not trust anyone like 100%. Men are men. They might go anywhere and not come back home. If they’re back, everything is not the same.

“Love means knowing when to let go”

And this quote was said by Harry’s mom after his dad passed away. She told Harry that a part of loving someone was letting him go. It slapped Harry and made him to decide letting Pat to stay with Gina.

Love is about a meeting and leaving. Like others say, people come and go.

We need to move on, right?
